Griffin started Marshmallow Lab in 2021.

Marshmallow Lab started with a simple idea: “Anything you can buy at the store can be made at home if you take the time to learn the technique required to make it yourself.” Griffin used this idea with the help of his family to create the best marshmallows you have ever had.

It all began with a simple family reunion on the pacific coast. There Griffin with his family were going to build a fire and roast marshmallows for ‘smores. That’s when he decided to make marshmallows for the first time. After researching recipes, tweaking them to create his own style, and admittingly making a few mistakes along the way Griffin finally had the what he thought was the perfect marshmallow. He then took these new fluffy delicious square marshmallows with him for his family reunion. While roasting and eating ‘smores Griffin was approached by his father-in-law Bob who told Griffin point blank that these were the best marshmallows that he had ever had and that this is a business in the making. Griffin had never thought about selling his marshmallows at this time but the confidence his father-in-law had in him was all he needed to get started.

Griffin then started to think how he could make these marshmallows even better. That’s when he decided to make different flavors of marshmallow utilizing the best ingredients that local Washington state farms had to offer. He began using multiple different organic hand picked berries from Sidhu Farms, spicy Floral Gem chilies from Alvarez Organic Farms, locally foraged huckleberries from Adam’s Mushrooms just to name a few. After perfecting a few different flavors Griffin launched Marshmallow Lab LLC in 2021.
